Wrap Around Childcare
At Banister, we pride ourselves on offering parents wrap-round care to fit in with their daily lives. We value our parents and want to make their families' experience of Banister as positive as possible.
Breakfast Club 08:00-08:30
We offer Breakfast club daily from 8:00 to 8:30 on site in the Outer Space building. Breakfast club is a wonderful environment where your child will be able to socialise with other children, enjoy a wide range of breakfast options, hot and cold, in a supportive and encouraging environment that you would expect from us.
Breakfast club is run by Mrs Gleeson and Mrs Waller, and we offer parents the facility to sign up at the office. We are able to provide one-off care with notice, weekly and regular day slots all for the price of £2.50 per day.
Wrap Around Childcare
In September 2025 we introduced a new charging structure for the Milky Way Club, aiming to give you more flexible childcare options. Here’s a summary of the new charges:
• Full Session (3:00 PM - 5:45 PM): £12.00
• Short Session (3:00 PM - 4:00 PM): £6.00 (New trial session for parents needing less time)
• After Activity Club Session (4:00 PM - 5:45 PM, for children who have also booked an activity club, e.g., Football): £8.00 (Continues from its successful introduction at Easter)
The success of this trial, and the flexibility it offers, depends on everyone booking the correct session and sticking to the agreed pick-up times.
Important: Late Collections
• Late Collection from School: If your child isn't collected at the end of the school day and if, after speaking to you, needs to be moved into Milky Way, you'll be charged £15.
• Late Collection from a Booked Short Session (£6): This will result in a charge for the full session (£12).
• Late Collection from a Booked Full Session: The fee will increase to £15, and future sessions may not be available.
Please, can we remind you that late collection from school must be the exception – children do not like being collected late – the school office is very busy after school, and we are obliged to follow safeguarding procedures when children are not collected on time.
